Smiling Faces

*GOD*day!

The smile =) A smile… yes it can increase your face value, even your flavor value =) if you are baking up something loving from the oven. Yes, it is the thing that makes you feel better, and yes, when someone doesn’t have one, we should give them ours. Beware though, all smiles are not created equal.

Everyone can’t smile all the time. If everyone is always smiling, something is wrong. Some people, like me, when we aren’t smiling, have that turned down mouth, the one that if you aren’t smiling you look mad, look. Yes, I inherited that one from my mom on the scale of big time.

So with no further ado…

Today’s little ditty of a blog is brought to you by:

The Smile

smile smiled smiling v. To have a happy look on one’s face, with the corners of the mouth turned up.

Well yippy-skippy for me and anyone else who was born without a face that looks smiley =)!

For all the days of my life, as long as I hearingly can remember, I’ve heard, “Jeannie smile, things can’t be that bad.” “For goodness sake Jeannie smile.” Do you have any idea what it’s like to go through life being a happy person hearing that, just because you aren’t smiling? Do you now? If you hear it for other reasons, sure thing, something wrong in smile mark country. If however you are like me, nothing is wrong, this is just the face I was born with. If you’ve got a problem with that, you smile =)

Really? You want to give me yours? Surgery would be required.

How About We Turn The Smile Upside Down

Come on, follow along. You know you are curious to see where I’m going with this one now, aren’t you, aren’t you even just a little bit? Turning a smile upside down doesn’t always mean we are frowning in the sense of sadness. It might just mean that we are exposing something that is lurking underneath the smile.

I do believe we can all agree to admit to the fact that enemies are lurking everywhere. Yes, we know from the news that they lurk in schools. We know also that they lurk, from experience, in the workplace. We know from the sad fact they as well lurk within church, in daycare centers and in the preying minds of the smiling perverse preyer. So, what do we need to do. Well, we sure as all Heaven fire, best get prayed up!

We also need to be aware of our surroundings. For safety is always about safety being first, last and always, our responsibility. Those who have false smiles are so tempting and so deceptive. These smiling faces can keep you, if wise, from falling prey to their mind games and heart wrenching lies.

Matthew 10:16

16“Stay alert. This is hazardous work I’m assigning you. You’re going to be like sheep running through a wolf pack, so don’t call attention to yourselves. Be as cunning as a snake, inoffensive as a dove.

Beware even in the Body within for not so Biblical ways:

Quick fix, get rich faith.

Feel and tickle the ear faith.

One sided faith.

Educational superiority.

You can gain a lot of education and sound as smart as a smarty pants, and gaining all that knowledge going to school and going to college can sometimes twist the one speaking to believe more in themselves and their smartypants ways, than believing in the very One who gave them Life.

When Your Smiling…

What if the smile isn’t a smile? What if the smile, unknown to you, me or anyone else but the smiler, is really a

smirk v. To smile in a foolish or self-satisfied way.

Miles of Smiles Of Thought Going On Now, Eh?

George Carlin “If a man smiles all the time, he’s probably selling something that doesn’t work.”

Greta Garbo “Anyone who has a continuous smile on his face conceals a toughness that is almost frightening.”

W.C. Fields “Start every day with a smile and get it over with.”

“The price giving and getting smiles is too high, if it is raised at the expense of another.” Jeannie Bee (that would be me =)

A Smile Makes Everything Better. Really?

Let’s take a look at some times you can’t just give someone a smile and it will make everything all hunky-dory. How about when Katrina hit? Is a smile gonna just make everyone else smile? How about the earthquake in Japan. Would sending a picture of everyone else in the world smiling make it all easier to handle? How about loss of a loved one, or hearing you have cancer. Sure, that’s the smile cure all. It’s time we stop this nonsense and get on with the facts of life and smiles.

Sometimes a smile just adds insult to injury. So please stop making claims that smiling can always make things better. Balance people, what we need is balance. This is why there are so many crooked people, because we allow for all the crooked smiles. Okay so maybe not completely why, but it’s because people are looking for that feel good feeling instead of being good.

Commercial Interruption:

This commercial interruption is really going to just be another quote by me.

“Miles of smiles as we go, you smile at me, I’ll smile at yo.” That was so bad wasn’t it? ” Yo”, I mean really now. Did that make you smile or want to tell me I am a bad poet? See what I’m saying. When I’m smiling it isn’t necessarily going to make you smile. Maybe it did make you chuckle and let out a little laugh. Sort of like a Sheldon laugh from The Big Bang Theory. Maybe it was just a sort of snort of a smile and not Sheldon’s smile that he gives only when he’s looking at Koala Bears.

This concludes our commercial interruption =)

All I’m Saying Is…

Buyer and smiler beware. We need balance with love and wisdom. Love and justice. This is why we can’t just go around smiling 24/7/365. It’s why some people, like me, who weren’t born with a smiling face, are the people who often are the happiest, but you don’t believe, know it, because you don’t take time to get to see the insides of me. If you do though, just know, I can’t be bought. The price for this girl was already paid up in full at Calvary by her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ! There is no selling out for the next big thing on the block.

So beware, be careful. Everything that smiles isn’t always what it seems to be.

Proverbs 14:

2 An honest life shows respect for God; a degenerate life is a slap in his face.

3 Frivolous talk provokes a derisive smile;

wise speech evokes nothing but respect.

4 No cattle, no crops;

a good harvest requires a strong ox for the plow.

Jeremiah 7:31-33

30-31“The people of Judah have lived evil lives while I’ve stood by and watched.” God’s Decree. “In deliberate insult to me, they’ve set up their obscene god-images in the very Temple that was built to honor me. They’ve constructed Topheth altars for burning babies in prominent places all through the valley of Ben-hinnom, altars for burning their sons and daughters alive in the fire—a shocking perversion of all that I am and all I command.

32-34“But soon, very soon”—God’s Decree!—”the names Topheth and Benhinnom will no longer be used. They’ll call the place what it is: Murder Meadow. Corpses will be stacked up in Topheth because there’s no room left to bury them! Corpses abandoned in the open air, fed on by crows and coyotes, who have the run of the place. And I’ll empty both smiles and laughter from the villages of Judah and the streets of Jerusalem. No wedding songs, no holiday sounds. Dead silence.”

THE UNDISPUTED TRUTH, singing:

“Smiling Faces Sometimes”

Smiling faces sometimes pretend to be your friend

Smiling faces show no traces of the evil that lurks within

Smiling faces, smiling faces sometimes

They don’t tell the truth uh

Smiling faces, smiling faces

Tell lies and I got proof

The truth is in the eyes

Cause the eyes don’t lie, amen

Remember a smile is just

A frown turned upside down

My friend let me tell you

Smiling faces, smiling faces sometimes

They don’t tell the truth, uh

Smiling faces, smiling faces

Tell lies and I got proof

Beware, beware of the handshake

That hides the snake

I’m telling you beware

Beware of the pat on the back

It just might hold you back

Jealousy (jealousy)

Misery (misery)

Envy

I tell you, you can’t see behind smiling faces

Smiling faces sometimes they don’t tell the truth

Smiling faces, smiling faces

Tell lies and I got proof

Smiling faces, smiling faces sometimes

They don’t tell the truth

Smiling faces, smiling faces

Tell lies and I got proof

(Smiling faces, smiling faces sometimes)

(Smiling faces, smiling faces sometimes)

I’m telling you beware, beware of the handshake

That hides the snake

Listen to me now, beware

Beware of that pat on the back

It just might hold you back

Smiling faces, smiling faces sometimes

They don’t tell the truth

Smiling faces, smiling faces

Tell lies and I got proof

Your enemy won’t do you no harm

Cause you’ll know where he’s coming fromDon’t let the handshake and the smile fool yaTake my advice I’m only try’ to school ya

Think About The Crooked Smile
The never smile at the crocodile. How about Eve. You don’t think that little slim satan, snake in the grass came a crawling with a frown on his little old lying self, do you? No, he came with a crooked smile that held within it, a plan to do harm. Yes, smiling isn’t all it’s sometimes cracked upwards to be.
Life Is More About What You Show
It’s about what you tell. It can be less complicated, if we ourselves make things less uncomplicated. How do we do that? It isn’t just with a smile.
Until all have heard of and know, His Love,
