Some people think we hit the high note yesterday, being it was Resurrection SONday and all. We did have our party on, and there was for sure lots of praising and raising the roofs all over the world for Jesus, is Alive! It’s not over yet though. In fact it would do us all good to keep that Spirit alive and well and living in our every day lives and churches. After all, should a pastor have to stand up front when preaching to get the people to get involved? No, no, no he should not!!!
The verse below was David’s idea of keeping that party of praise going on. How about us? How could we do less? The answer? We must not, we can’t.
“We’ve been raised up to praise up His Name on High!” Jeannie Bee
I’m thanking you, God, from a full heart, I’m writing the book on your wonders. I’m whistling, laughing, and jumping for joy; I’m singing your song, High God.
- Are you thanking GOD?
- Is your heart full?
- Is your life a book being writing because of His wonderful work?
- Are you whistling His happy tune?
- Are your laughing and enjoying the journey with Him?
- How about it, are jumping for Jesus filled joy?
- Is there a song in your heart that is bursting forth off your lips because you serve Thee Most GOD!
Basically, those are the basics of our daily living?
Is it hard? Sometimes it is. Sometimes it would be so much easier to fall down the rabbit hole into wonderland. It would be easier, or so we think, to run away from reality. We see it daily in the hurting. In the homeless, and the heartbroken. It’s just too hard to face all that… hurt! Or is it?
What a stack of blessing you have piled up for those who worship you, Ready and waiting for all who run to You to escape an unkind world. You hide them safely away from the opposition. As you slam the door on those oily, mocking faces, you silence the poisonous gossip. Blessed God! His love is the wonder of the world. Trapped by a siege, I panicked. “Out of sight, out of mind,” I said. But you heard me say it, you heard and listened.
Living in Alice’s Wonderland
There is a difference between imaging that which is coming and living in a world of imagination. Alice In Wonderland is such a movie; a movie by the by, that I absolutely love. Especially the newest version with Johnny Depp. Yes, I know, he can be a bit out there. How appropriate is that for such a movie though? He’s out there and the unreality of the reality of Wonderland.
There is a take-away for all of us in the movie though. By all, I mean all. It’s the muchness factor. So many of us have lost our muchness. Some haven’t ever even been given the change to show it, but it’s there alright. Each and everyone of us. We’ve got something, no matter how simple, how strange, or unique, or extravagant, we’ve all got much to give.
Next Sunday In Church
As you get all dressed up in whatever your Sunday go to church clothes are, don’t forget about wearing your muchness. Bring it, breath it, show it, share it, Live it out loud!!! Show some support for the very GOD who gave His Son just for you. Keep the Spirit of GOD moving in His direction so that all who are watching will want to attend the party that is still going on.
Until all have heard of and know, His Love,
