Two Are Always Better Than One
It’s so true isn’t it? The thing is, there isn’t a human being on earth that can be there 24/7/365; nary one. I’ve learned to lean, lean, do the lean a lean thing on those occasions. It’s those times when you feel as if you are truly, one, the loneliest number. It’s those leaning times that you finally realize what having His comforting and peaceful Arms wrapped about you means.
So often people show and tell the Footprints poem. I do love that poem and know that the words are true. Somehow for me though, and maybe it’s because I’m planted here in sunny Florida, that I when I found these two little starfish clasping hands, my thoughts were of me and my Best Friend.
So often we don’t ACT upon that truth. The truth that when the world walks out, or a loved one leaves, or a friend is no longer a friend, we feel alone, lonely, the loneliest. We insult *GOD* when we do this. I know that it’s hard to feel the way we do, but when we start think that we are all alone, we’ve insulted Him in this thinking. I’ve spoken the lonely words of having nobody, feeling like I’m not a significant somebody. What a slap in the face to *GOD*. Shame, shame on me, shame on one of us who thinks such thoughts. Such thoughts are lies from the enemy. Don’t you just know those are the same sweet, truly nothings that satan whispered into Jesus’ ears. Your Father has forsaken you, come to the dark side.
We do need each other, but truth is, we need GOD-Father, SON and Spirit more. For some of us we’ve found out just how precious of a friend, in times of need, and in times of just plain day to day fellowship with Him, our Jesus forever friend is. His Comforter hasn’t just come… He never left us.
Today, if this is the day GOD brought you to read this, know this, it wasn’t anything at all about this blog, or me, or whatever. All it was about was you being reminded that you don’t need a friend, you have a friend in Jesus. Does He know it? Maybe that is the question and the answer to your being lonely.
If you have not accepted Jesus Christ into your life, repented, confessed and received Him, what are you waiting for? Today could be the day you made the best friend forever. There is no other.
Until all have heard of, and know His Love,
